    Large rock slide closes parts of US 40 in Grand County

    DENVER (KDVR) — A large rock slide closed part of U.S. Highway 40 in Grand County for a few hours on Saturday.

    The rock slide happened west of Granby sometime before 1:45 p.m., according to a post on social media by the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.

    Colorado Department of Transportation crews responded to the scene to clear the roadway.

    The sheriff’s office said the road was reopened just after 4 p.m.
