US Marshals Just Captured a Fugitive from Ohio Hiding in Missouri
The US Marshals found a suspect in a shooting in Ohio in an unusual place. He was captured while hiding from the law in St. Louis, Missouri. The US Marshals announced in a press release that 29-year-old Marcus Anderson was wanted by the Cleveland Metroparks Police Department for attempted murder from an incident that took place on June 22, 2024 in Garfield Heights, Ohio. He had remained at large until now. The found him hiding in the 2700 block of Utah Street in St Louis, Missouri.
Rams claim Cody Schrader off waivers from 49ers
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - The next step in Cody Schrader’s NFL journey will lead him to an unlikely place. The Los Angeles Rams submitted a waiver claim on the former standout of the University of Missouri, Truman State and Lutheran South High School. The team that infamously vacated the city of St. Louis in 2016 was set to carry only three running backs on its 53-man roster before successfully claiming Schrader off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers. Schrader signed as an undrafted free-agent with the Niners following the NFL Draft this past spring.

Independence Man Arrested in Benton County on Drug Trafficking Charges
On Sunday, Aug 25 at approximately 2:05 a.m., Benton County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle near Highway 7 and Karr’s Park, in rural Warsaw. After investigation and computer checks, the driver, 39-year-old Derik Ray Cantrell of Independence, was arrested for licensing issues. The motorcycle and its accompanying luggage was searched incident to arrest and inventory before towing.
