Booze bandits steal $5,000 worth of alcohol from Ephrata store
EPHRATA - Ephrata Police Chief Erik Koch says its the most alcohol he's ever seen stolen during his time on the force. Authorities say two booze bandits managed to walk about of the Ephrata Safeway store at around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. with two grocery carts full of alcohol unnoticed. The total worth of the alcohol tallied $5,000. External security cameras were unable to capture the getaway vehicle used to transport the loot. Crews save homes from threatening fire off I-90 in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — On the evening of July 17, the Moses Lake Fire Department (MLFD) responded to an urgent call regarding an outside fire on West Sandy Street. At approximately 9:20 pm, the fire was reported as a potential threat to nearby structures. The situation quickly mobilized the fire department, with the first crew arriving on the scene at 9:30 pm.
Two Suspects Arrested in Connection With Overdose Deaths in North Idaho
HAUSER LAKE – On Wednesday, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) responded to two separate overdose incidents that resulted in the deaths of two young men. At approximately 7:19 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of W. Lake Street in Hauser Lake, Idaho, where a 20-year-old male was found deceased from a likely Fentanyl overdose. About three hours later, KCSO units responded to the 1700 block of Cecil Road, where a 24-year-old male was also found deceased, suspected of a Fentanyl overdose.
