GHAPS preps new teachers through mentor program

Grand Haven Area Public Schools teachers are preparing to return to the classroom — and for new teachers coming into the district, that includes getting a support system to help guide them over the next several years.

More than 20 new GHAPS teachers met at Grand Haven High School for an orientation meeting on Tuesday. Along with introductions and professional learning activities, each was paired with a mentor from within the district by the Grand Haven Education Association.
