    Ottawa County Sheriff's Office holds active shooter response class

    WEST OLIVE — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office hosted a Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Event class Tuesday night in an effort to educate the community on what to do in an emergency situation.

    Nearly 30 people attended the two-hour presentation at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Complex in West Olive, given by Deputy Alex DeJong, who works at Zeeland Public Schools.
