Colorado Mesa's Pablo Diaz became the first Mavericks golfer to be named a NCAA Division II Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday.

Diaz was a third team selection.

Diaz, a senior from Guadalajara, Mexico, holds a 3.93 GPA. He led the Maverick golf team with a 72.38 scoring average in 2023-24, the third bet in program history.

He was a first team All-RMAC pick in 2023-24 and earned two all-conference honors for his on-course abilities. He also earned a pair of first team and three overall RMAC All-Academic honors.
