    Lyn Reed presents “Out of Mud”

    Ceramics created with an Australian spice are on exhibit by an outstanding artist, Lyn Reed. Northwoods Friends of the Arts in Cook, MN is privileged to exhibit Lynn’s new ceramic work which features a new “Totem Sculpture”, indoor/outdoor art in this exhibit called, “Out of Mud”.

    See Reed’s stunning pottery at NWFA Gallery from Wed., August 7th to Fri. August 30th, 2024 at 210 S. River St. in Cook next to Dreamweaver Salon. Gallery open hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wed., Thurs. and Fri.. On Saturdays during Cook’s Farmers Market the gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..

    THE RECEPTION

    To honor Lyn, a retired North Woods School art teacher, NWFA will hold a public reception at the gallery on Fri. August 9th from 6 to 8 p.m.. Look forward to meeting Lyn Reed, enjoying refreshments while viewing her stunningly colorful and useful pottery!

    Mrs Reed and her husband Mark, long active at NWFA, have displayed ceramics such as “fish serving plates”, mugs and b.owls. Multi talented in many art forms and never done teaching, Lyn often teaches art classes at NWFA such as pottery (slab pottery class August 17 & 24), painting and block printing. Her summer art classes created and instigated the “Wings Mural” which is on display near the Cook Library).
