Rohloff and Zimmer awarded Team of the Year

Premier fishing tandem Eli Rohloff and Ethan Zimmer capped off an incredible summer by being recognized as team of the year following their event last Saturday.

On Aug. 10, Up North Minnesota Bass Fishing Series, a premier team tournament with a five-fish limit, hosted their final regular season event on Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids, and it was following the event that Rohloff and Zimmer, season-long partners. were recognized as Team of the Year. The teammates had a great season after top five in every event except for one this year.

Not only did they secure Team of the Year, they won it by nearly 20 points.

“Making the right decisions on the water and consistently capitalizing on our opportunities throughout the season is what allowed us to win the Team of the Year title,” says Rohloff.

It’s not over yet for the premier team, looking ahead, Up North will host its Tournament of Champions on Wabana Lake north of Grand Rapids, where Rohloff and Zimmer were able to secure the first boat for takeoff.
