While the Grand Rapids girls swimming team will sorely miss the top-tier talent of Alyssa Jackson and Chloe Petersen, Grand Rapids, with their winning culture and depth, is as strong as ever going into 2024.

Emily Ericson returns for her senior season after a dominant 2023 in which she led the team in overall points with 527.10, along with top-swimmers Lauren Rauzi who scored 494.5 and Nevaeh Hoard with 442.56 in 2023. The team had 14 swimmers score more than 300 points last season and return the majority of them. With the young depth ready to take on a bigger role now that Jackson and Petersen have graduated, Grand Rapids looks to continue to be a force in girls swimming throughout the region.

The team is coached by Melissa Rauzi.

The Grand Rapids girls swim team opens the regular season next Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Cloquet.
