Fans of Luke Bryan were enthralled with a recent mid-performance moment that some concertgoers caught on video and later shared on social media.

The “so cute” moment occurred when the country music star invited a young fan named Ella to join him onstage during a show in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Thursday, June 27. In one clip of the interaction later shared by TikToker Laura Hardy , Bryan asked Ella to identify which of his songs was her favorite.

Ella, who Bryan said was 5, chose his 2023 song “But I Got a Beer in My Hand,” a selection that thrilled the “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer.

While crouching next to Ella on the stage, Bryan, 47, began singing the lyrics. “But I got a beer in my hand,” he sang before pointing the microphone at her.

“And I got it raised up high,” she sang dutifully. Bryan looked at the audience, smiling and laughing with them as he began the next line.

“I ain’t got a give in my—” he cut off suddenly, pointing the microphone at Ella again so she could sing the next word, “damn,” in response to his prompt.

Once the word left Ella’s mouth, Bryan twirled away in a fit of laughter before returning to his young fan and offering a playful admonishment. “Hey, you’re not supposed to say ‘damn,’” he told her before asking, “Do your parents let you say ‘damn’?”

Ella said yes, a confirmation that sent the audience laughing yet again.

“You know what? After you sang that song, I really know that you’re from Michigan,” Bryan joked.

Once Ella had returned to her parents in the crowd, Bryan told his audience with a laugh, “All right, I’m not bringing any more cussing children on the stage.”

Fans later gushed over the onstage interaction on social media.

“I was there. This was precious!! ❤️❤️,” one fan wrote as another Ella was “soooo precious and he did good with her❤️❤️😂.”

“How innocently adorable is that?❤️💯,” one TikToker wrote.

“She’s like man that’s the lyric stop nagging me😂😂😂,” another TikToker laughed.

The “Play It Again” singer was in Grand Rapids as part of his Mind of a Country Boy tour, which he kicked off in Canada in April. Bryan is scheduled to continue touring around the U.S. until mid-September.
