What's going on this weekend in West Michigan (July 6 & 7)

It's a holiday weekend, and if you're looking for something to do with your family and friends, there is plenty going on throughout West Michigan.

South Haven Art Fair
The 65th South Haven Art Fair is happening at Stanley Johnston Park on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7. It'll feature over 100 artists across 12 media categories including painting, photography and jewelry. The art fair is free and is a family-friendly event. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Click here to find out more.

Grand Rapids Foodie Fest
It's a culinary celebration in the heart of Grand Rapids this weekend. You'll want to go hungry to the 3rd annual Grand Rapids Foodie Fest. There will be live music, dance, other performances and local merchants. You'll also find curated food and drinks. The event is free and open to all. All vendors will accept cash and card payments. There is also a beer tent for guests 21 and over. The festival started Friday, July 5. It runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 6 and 11a.m to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 7. Field of Flight Air Show
The Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Fest is back in Battle Creek this weekend. It runs both Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 at the Battle Creek Executive Airport. The gates open at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the show beginning at 11 a.m. Dozens of aircraft will be taking flight including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Golden Knights. Attendees can also enjoy carnival rides, food and drinks, specialty entertainment acts, live music and fireworks. On Saturday at 5:30 p.m., attendees can see Guinness World Record Holder David "The Bullet" Smith be shot out of a cannon. Click here to find out more.

Heykoop Veteran Memorial Car Show & Benefit
In Muskegon, you can catch hundreds of classic cars lined up for a very special cause supporting our veterans and raising awareness to help prevent veteran suicide. It's the 8th annual Heykoop Veteran Memorial Car Show and Benefit. There will be music, food trucks and a live and silent auction. All the proceeds for the event go to Muskegon-based nonprofit Lighthouse for Veterans.
