GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Two adults and one child were taken to the hospital after an early Sunday morning wrong-way crash on US-131 in Grand Rapids.

Just before 4 a.m., troopers with the Michigan State Police were sent to the area of southbound US-131 near Market Avenue SW for a wrong-way crash.

Responding troopers learned that a 32-year-old woman with an unrestrained child in the vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. The vehicle hit a southbound vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old woman.

Both drivers and the child were taken to the hospital, MSP said. Their conditions have not been released.

MSP believes that alcohol is a factor in the crash.

    The crash remains under investigation.
