Kids can ‘Meet the Machines’ at the GR Downtown Market

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Children of all ages — and adults, too — can get up close and personal with some incredible machinery at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market on Tuesday.

The market is hosting its annual Meet the Machines event, where trucks, specialty machines, emergency vehicles, construction equipment and more gather in the parking lot for guests to check out.

Some of the attractions include a stretch limo, Zamboni, fire truck, snowplow, McDonald’s Mustang, 115-ton mobile crane and a Green Ghost pulling semi-truck. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will also be making a special appearance.

The idea behind the event is to give guests a chance to see the vehicles in person and check out how they operate.
