The Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF) continues their 30th Anniversary celebration with their third and final Friday Art Walk event on August 2, 2024, from 4—7 p.m., at the Community Foundation, 350 NW 1st Avenue, Suite E, Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

Leah Fox of Sota Art Company will be displaying her artwork. Leah creates fun, bright colored, whimsical art, that displays her love of water, nature and her Minnesota Roots. These unique, lighthearted, cheerful works of art will lift your spirits and speak to your soul, while you search between the layers for hidden messages. Her colorful artwork is presented on Mixed-Media Art Canvases, Watercolor Original Prints and Cards, and will be on display and available for purchase. There will be live music by Dan Rigoni of Rapids Radio from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and beverages and appetizers will be served.

The Foundation will again be highlighting the nonprofits who have applied through their Seeds of Change Campaign. The nonprofit applications will be on display and the community can vote for one of these nonprofits, enabling them a chance to receive extra funding through the Seeds for Change Campaign. Voting is open now on the GRACF website gracf.org Seeds of Change page and voting will continue through the evening of August 2. You can vote in person at the First Friday Art Walk event.

Donations to the Seeds of Change Campaign are encouraged and welcomed! For those who donate between now and August 2nd, you will have an opportunity to win two tickets to Grand Rapids Riverfest which will take place on September 7, 2024. The winner for the Riverfest tickets will be selected after the August 2 nd First Friday Art Walk event. You can donate online at GRACF to the Seeds of Change Fund. You can also mail or drop off a check to GRACF, 350 NW 1 st Avenue, Suite E, Grand Rapids. Stop in and talk with GRACF staff and board members, enjoy good food, music, art, and company while supporting local nonprofits!
