Motorcyclist killed in Gresham collision
A Gresham motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday morning, July 20. At 10 a.m. Gresham Police officers and medical personnel responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and pickup truck at the intersection of Southeast 190th Drive and Southeast Cheldelin Road. The motorcyclist was killed in the collision. The driver of the pickup stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. The East Metro Vehicular Crimes Team is leading the investigation. Police say the motorcycle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the fatal crash. Although it was a little warm on Saturday, July 20. That didn’t stop Sherwood residents from flocking to the 71st annual the Robin Hood Festival and Parade in Old Town Sherwood. The parade, whose theme was “Magical Merriment,” drew dancers, actors, bands and a handful of floats. It began at Langer’s Entertainment Center, headed down Southwest Century Drive, snaked down Sherwood Boulevard and finally onto Pine, First and Oregon streets before disbanding at the same location where it started.
