Nationwide Realty Investors plans to start work this year on a 385-unit apartment complex in its Grandview Yard development .

The $100-million development, called Parkline, will consist of one "S-shaped" six-story building on West 1st Avenue and Yard Street overlooking Ray DeGraw Park.

The project will include first-floor commercial and amenity space, a pool and an adjacent parking garage. Residents will also have access to the Yard Club, Grandview Yard’s community club house with a pool, hot tub, fitness facility, community room and conference room.

Parkline will add to the 1,500 residences already in the 125-acre Grandview Yard development, launched by Nationwide in 2007 west of Rt. 315 and north of West Goodale Street.

The $1 billion development includes 1.2 million square feet of commercial space, hotels, restaurants, stores, parks and green spaces, along with apartments and single-family homes .

Despite challenges such as high interest rates and material and labor costs, Nationwide Realty Investors President Brian Ellis said the timing is right for Parkline."Investing more than $100 million in the Parkline project underscores our ongoing commitment to this community and our confidence in the strength of the market,” Ellis said in a news release.

"With Grandview Yard’s occupancy rates consistently exceeding 97%, Parkline will play a crucial role in meeting the unprecedented demand for high-quality residential options in our thriving neighborhood."
