Tennessee softball lands transfer Aubrey Barnhart, former Texas Tech, Alabama utility player
Aubrey Barnhart has committed to Tennessee softball, she announced Friday night, following former Texas Tech coach Craig Snider. Barnhart, who is from Pleasant View, Tennessee, wrote, "I’m coming HOME!" in her social media post. The 5-foot-8 utility player was at Alabama for two years before transferring to Texas Tech for the 2024 season.

3M and Discovery Education recently announced the state merit winners of the 2024 3M Young Scientist Challenge, the nation’s premier middle school science competition. Expect competitive weights at Junior/High School Championships at Chickamauga

Chris Hopper said his leadership in mental health education began in 2018, when a colleague gave a moving speech at an event about losing his father to suicide. Knowing that the construction industry has a high rate of suicide, Hopper, executive vice president and general manager of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee for Skanska USA, partnered with the Lindner Center of Hope. The Ohio-based mental health facility helped Hopper implement the Start the Conversation program, in an attempt to remove the stigma from sensitive topics on the jobsite.
