MedStar said they're prepared for the extreme heat and will have multiple crews on-site to provide care if needed. Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the annual Independence Day event and brave the Texas heat. Fourth of July fashion includes red, white and blue everything. Live music performances are scheduled throughout the night at Panther Island Pavilion. Activities such as face painting, water slides, a zip line and various inflatables fill the afternoon ahead of the highly anticipated fireworks show. Even the cutest spectators have their seats prepared to watch the fireworks. The fireworks show is expected to begin around 9:30 p.m. and lasts about 30 minutes.
