Serial restaurateur and marine veteran Paul Jansen is nearing the completion of building out his latest concept, Sette Pasta House . The restaurant is anticipated to open in mid-May , taking over the space at 6851 Douglas Blvd , Suite B in Granite Bay .

Sette has been a project in the works. Building permits were issued last fall and a sign announcing the upcoming restaurant went up in late September. According to a previous coverage in Sacramento Business Journal , Jansen originally hoped to open this February. The opening has since been delayed to this May.

What Now Sacramento recently reported that Jansen was selling one of his beloved concepts, Citizen Vine, to a Lincoln-based family. There seems to be no better time to provide an update on Sette’s progress.

Sette’s name comes from the Italian word for the number “seven.” The core of Sette’s menu is the five pasta dishes and two quarterly-rotating seasonal entrees made fresh daily, including Bolognese Lasagna, Buccatini Carbonara, and more. The menu also includes bright-flavored appetizers and delicate desserts.

In addition to its main dining space, Sette also has a private room with a maximum capacity of 20 people and a beautiful outdoor patio called Ulivo, featuring olive trees and beautiful white lighting. Larger parties can book Sette’s space for private events and choose from three unique experiences: buffet style, formal plated dinner, and casual experience.

What Now Sacramento reached out to Jansen for comments but hadn’t heard back by the time this coverage was published.
