Iredell Homeless Collaborative offers summer programming, working to meet needs of vulnerable citizens
The Iredell Homeless Collaborative is busy serving the county’s most vulnerable unhoused community members in encampments and motels during the hot summer months. To fund its services, Fifth Street Ministries is holding “Christmas in July,” the nonprofit’s largest fundraiser of the year, to help get through the summer months when financial contributions and material donations typically decline.
Charlotte Car Theft Leads to Multicounty Chase, Suspects Arrested in Caldwell County
A multicounty car chase originating in Charlotte ended with the arrest of two individuals in Caldwell County early Wednesday morning. The high-speed pursuit, involving a vehicle reported stolen, spanned over several counties before coming to a close in Granite Falls. QCNews reported that the chase began at approximately 1:05 a.m. and the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office deployed spike strips to halt the suspect vehicle twenty minutes later.

Star sprinter Alexis Brown was named the USTFCCCA Indoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while the Bears had 11 athletes named to the All-Academic Teams.
