Branch Books now open in Cullman
CULLMAN, Ala. – A family owned bookstore opened a second location, Branch Books, in Cullman this summer. Branch Books Owners Robert and Cheryl Kahlstorf opened their first location, in Hartselle, five years ago. The idea for opening the second location came after some of their Hartselle customers told them they were sad a bookstore in Cullman was closing.

Norfolk Southern will invest more than $200 million in Alabama
Norfolk Southern Corp. is investing more than $200 million on a key rail line in Alabama. Improvements will be made on the 3B Corridor, which connects markets in northern and central Alabama to the Port of Mobile. It’s “an important segment of Norfolk Southern’s annual traffic, serving critical industries like agriculture, automotive, chemicals, forestry and steel,” according to a news release from the company.

Alabama Window Washer Left Dangling From Skyscraper After Equipment Malfunctions
Jared Cooper was simply cleaning windows in Alabama. Per WKRG, Cooper found himself dangling more than 450 feet in the air from a ledge while cleaning the windows of the RSA Tower. Representing the Squeegee Squad, it was Cooper's first time cleaning the massive tower. "I had a feeling something was going to happen last night, so I wasn't too sure," Cooper told the publication.
