SJPD arrests suspect in connection with shooting near First Ward House on July 14th
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The St. Joseph, Mo. Police Department announced that they had arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting near First Ward House. According to SJPD Officials, Horace Wright, 41, an African-American male, was arrested on July 17th and has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm - Possession of a Weapon.
Missouri's senior tax credit is now easier to access for St. Louis County residents
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — St. Louis County Council passed legislation this Tuesday removing barriers to the state's Senior Tax Credit program. That program gives seniors and disabled individuals a credit for a portion of the real estate taxes or rent they paid for the year. The credit is for up to $750 for renters and up to $1,100 for owners who owned and occupied their home.

General Motors puts brakes on work at Wentzville plant
(Wentzville, MO) – Assembly line work has come to a screeching halt at the General Motors plant in Wentzville. KMOX Radio in St. Louis reports that there’s a strike at a Wentzville supplier, called Lear. The St. Louis area factory employs about 500 union members who make parts like seats for GM vehicles.

The Trenton Building and Nuisance Board held a hearing last evening, attended by Jason Lassiter, the owner of the former J.C. Penney building at Eastgate in Trenton.
