CASTLE ROCK, CO - This year's First Friday's event series comes to a close with the final concert. Shelvis and the Roustabouts perform at Festival Park on Friday, September 3rd.

Friday nights in the summer are ideal for relaxing at home, taking advantage of the pleasant weather, and unwinding after a busy week.

From June to September, travel to Festival Park for live music, food trucks, beverages, and kid activities on the first Friday of each month. Start the evening with the First Fridays 5K, then take advantage of the opportunity to create family memories downtown.

Shelvis and the Roustabouts are an exciting Rockabilly/Americana band who was voted Denver's Best Band (2019) by the people of 5280 Magazine. Lori "Shelvis" Muha is a formidable force in the entertainment industry. Her outstanding vocals and high-energy performances captivate the crowd.

Muha and her Roustabouts bring the audience to a time when rock was founded, focusing on the music of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, and other Rockabilly pioneers.

Live music, food trucks, beverages, kid's activities, and more are all available. At 5 p.m., the house music begins. The main musician will perform at about 5:45 p.m., and the party will last until 9 p.m.

The First Friday's 5K is a great way to start the evening. The entire family will enjoy these free, theme-based runs/walks. The unofficially timed races begin in Festival Park at 5:30 p.m. The best-themed outfits will receive prizes. The 5K theme for September is "You Ain't Nothin' But a Hound Dog." Online registration is available.
