    Three arrested on death by distribution charges in Pamlico County

    ORIENTAL, N.C. (WNCT) — Pamlico County Sheriff’s detectives arrested three people in connection to a man’s death on December 7.

    The body of Chris Eugene Boyd, 60, of Grantsboro, was found on a fishing boat at Garland Fulcher’s Seafood in Oriental. An autopsy showed Boyd died as a result of fentanyl toxicity.

    • Caroline Curtis, 34, of Alliance was charged with death by distribution and jailed under a $600,000 bond.
    • Justin Griffin, 32, of Alliance was charged death by distribution and jailed under a $505,000 secured bond.
    • Gary Russell Paul Jr., 55, of Alliance was charged with one count of death by distribution and jailed under a $750,000 secured bond. All three had their first day in court Wednesday.
