    Summer reading slated at Berea

    Berea Branch Library is presenting a special program July 25 celebrating Smokey Bear’s 80 th birthday.

    The program is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. at the library, located at 1211 US Highway 158. The library is partnering with the Granville County forest service to celebrate Smokey’s birthday and teach all about fire safety.

    This program is free and open to all and part of the summer reading program “Adventure Begins at your Library” that encourages readers of all ages with special events and prizes for their summer reading hours.
