MLG Capital Acquires 424-Unit The Jade at Frisco Near Dallas
DALLAS — MLG Capital has acquired The Jade at Frisco, a 424-unit property in the northern Dallas suburb of Frisco. The garden-style community is located at 16220 Phoebe Road, adjacent to Craig Ranch, a 400-acre master-planned development. Amenities include a pool with sundeck and cabanas, fitness and yoga facilities, game room and EV charging stations. According to the property website, units come in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans.

Because there has been a history of vote-spamming shenanigans in the rankings, I used Google Forms for the last couple of community rankings, and it worked out well, so we will use it again. You will need to include your LSB user name when you vote. If you don’t have an LSB user name, you need to use some sort of identifier. While this won’t eliminate the possibility of vote spamming, it will make it harder.

The Lumberjacks two players named to the preseason All-Conference Southland team were junior wide receiver Kylon Harris and senior cornerback Jeremiah Walker. On July 21, 2024, at about 9:00 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 9800 block of Bruton Road. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Keeman Bowens shot lying on the ground. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, and Bowens died at the scene. Further investigation identified the suspect as 25-year-old Iyanna Wells.

Ex-treasurer stole $16K from Guyer football booster club, reports say
The former Guyer High School football booster club’s treasurer was recently arrested after she allegedly stole nearly $16,000 from the organization. Denton ISD employees at Guyer this spring reported to police in April that funds were missing from the booster club, which is run by volunteers, the Denton Record-Chronicle reported. Denton Police Department detectives found a lot of charges that appeared to be made by the club’s former treasurer, Shauna Martin — including purchases for travel, food, utilities and more — for more than $15,800.
