Two-vehicle crash in Benton County leaves one dead, three injured

GRAVETTE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Clarksville woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday night in Gravette, according to a crash report.

Chelsea B. Travis, 28, was traveling northbound on Highway 59 in a 2016 Kia Forte around 6:30 p.m. and entered a right curve as a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder was southbound on the same road.

The report said Travis’ vehicle swerved across the center line into the southbound lane and struck the Nissan.

Travis was later pronounced dead as a result of the crash. The driver and two passengers in the Nissan were injured in the crash and taken to Bentonville and Springfield hospitals.

Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash, according to the report.
