The Elkton native who was the band director at North Hardin High School died in a car crash in Grayson County on Tuesday. Kentucky State Police said 28-year-old Kelsey Dunn died when she lost control of her vehicle in heavy rain on the Western Kentucky Parkway at the 116-mile marker between the Clarkson and Eastview exits. State police said Dunn crossed the median and entered the path of a westbound tractor-trailer.

One Dead in Grayson County Wreck
Kentucky State Police are currently investigating an incident that occurred on the Western Kentucky Parkway near the 116 mile-marker. 28-year-old Kelsey Dunn of Elkton lost her life in a collision involving her 2011 Toyota Camry and a semi-tractor trailer. Reports indicate that during a heavy downpour, Dunn’s vehicle skidded across the median into oncoming traffic. The semi driver, identified as George Stup III, also 28, from Belton, was unharmed in the accident. Following the crash, traffic was diverted at the 124 mile-marker for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
Elkton woman killed in Grayson County collision
An Elkton woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Grayson County Tuesday afternoon. According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened near the 116-mile-marker around 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Kelsey Dunn of Elkton was heading east bound while it was heavily raining. Dunn lost control of the vehicle due to the rain, which crossed the median and went into the path of a westbound semi-truck.
