German American Bancorp has announced it will merge with Ohio-based Heartland BancCorp. You don't have to drive too far in southwest Indiana to run across a German American Bank building. Growing up in Petersburg, Indiana, I often remember seeing the company's large bank building on Main Street with the flags waving in the wind out front. To me, it's become a staple along the stretch of wide road, and I don't think the city would look the same without it. PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A complex of thunderstorms will be moving across southern Ohio and into West Virginia this morning. Thunderstorms will be more likely around Jackson County and towards the south for the morning commute, but rain chances will still be around towards the north. Our potential for showers and storms today will wane through the morning, but a few showers will still be possible around noon. When we enter the afternoon and evening, we will be looking at drier weather with a decrease in cloud cover. Expect the evening commute to be overall quiet across the Mid-Ohio Valley. However, it is still going to be quite humid.
