(WKRN) — A group of Clarksville, Tennessee, moms are celebrating a win after negotiating with local school officials to secure half-hour recesses for all elementary school students in the district. Now, the group, “Say YES to RECESS Tennessee,” is working to take their efforts statewide.

While many of these messages are legitimate attempts to rally support, a new warning from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) suggests that some of these texts could be from scammers looking to exploit political passion and trick individuals into handing over their personal information.

Bell Wins Steeplechase, Named All Pan-Am at World Games
Drew Bell of Madison made the All Pan-American Masters team with his record-setting performance in five events, including a win in the 3000m Steeplechase. Bell, 58, is head coach for the James Clemens High School cross-country and track-field teams. The Pan Am Masters Games, held July 12-21 in Cleveland, featured more than 9,000 athletes from 70 countries. Athletes competed in 29 sports categories with multiple events in each.
