What makes a successful businessman? Probably paying bills, taxes and fines on time or at all
Gov. Jim Justice often brags about being a businessman and not a politician. He likes to say that he runs West Virginia like a business. If he’s running the state like he ran his own businesses, it’s no wonder so many agencies are struggling financially. Two weeks ago, the Greenbrier Hotel, owned by Justice and […]

Rain and storms return Friday & linger through the weekend
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - It was another beautiful day in West Virginia with low humidity and comfortable temperatures, despite a little more cloud cover. High pressure is keeping us dry both in terms of precipitation and humidity and will continue to do so through Thursday. Temperatures will get a bit warmer Wednesday and will peak on Thursday, potentially reaching 80 degrees in the mountains and 90 degrees in the lowlands. A cold front coming in from the west will push scattered showers into the area Friday morning, with non-severe thunderstorms developing by the afternoon. The cold front will linger around West Virginia through Saturday, keeping heavier rain and storms around. The cold front will move to our east by Sunday, but the center of the system will meander over the Great Lakes through about Monday, so expect some showers and a few storms to linger into the start of next week. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s lowlands and upper 70s mountains for Friday and Saturday, then will drop a few more degrees for Sunday and the start of next week. Despite the lower temperatures, it will be muggier due to increased humidity.
