The end of the school year does not mean a halt to training for Great Mills Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. The four-peat Distinguished Unit is laying the foundation for future success by putting its top cadets through challenging courses to better their leadership skills. This summer Great Mills NJROTC sent three cadets to NJROTC Leadership Academy in Virginia, plus a graduate assistant returning as an aide; one cadet to NJROTC Sail Academy in Virginia; four cadets to Joint Cadet Leadership Course at Virginia Military Institute; four cadets to ALA Maryland Girls State at Salisbury University; two cadets to American Legion Boys State at McDaniel College; and three cadets to Cyber Camp at Gannon University. These training opportunities reflect the commitment of cadet leaders.
