Stream NYC screamo band OLTH's new two-song single
OLTH have been building a reputation as one of NYC’s best newer screamo bands, thanks in part to their wild live show (I caught them with Liturgy at TV Eye last year and it was batshit), and their recordings are just getting better and better too. They’re following their 2023 debut LP every day is sOmeOne’s speciaL day with a new two-song single, “fire dOve / xO,” and these are two of their strongest, most musically-varied songs yet. They’ve got their harsh, screeching, caustic screamo down pat, and they also branch off into heavy/beautiful post-metal territory on the climactic “fire dOve” and tread some Slint-like waters on “xO.”

After a pretty dry weekend, the rain's making a comeback – and potentially in buckets. The better part of today should remain dry with perhaps a shower or thunderstorm through the afternoon commute, but mainly inland.
