    TRACK AND FIELD

    Fox River Classic Conference Championships

    GREEN BAY - The De Pere boys and the Bay Port girls track and field teams brought home conference championships.

    De Pere’s Andrew Cartier took first in both the long and triple jump with jumps of 20-8.5 and 47-6.25, respectively. Teammate Casey Trousil won the 400-meter dash with a time of :50.09 and was part of the relay team of Noah Fischer, Ryan Bintz and Kyle Lindberg to win the 1,600 relay in 3:26.27.

    Ashwaubenon’s Pierce Foley was part of three first-place finishes. Foley won the 100 with a time of :11.04. He teamed with Jacob McVane, Gus Newel and Noah Platten to win the 400 relay with a time of :43.04 and teamed with those same three to win the 800 relay in 1:29.95.

    In the girls meet, Jillian Anderson of Bay Port won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :15.43. Anderson also won the long jump with a leap of 17-1.5.

    Pulaski’s Lily Urben won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :46.52. Urben, with teammates Addison Krueger, Faye Brunke and Olivia Sprangers, won the 800 relay in 1:45.11.

    Green Bay Preble’s Gabrielle Haller won the 800 in 2:20.59 and teamed with Emma Dornbush, Carlee Paris and Camille Haller to win the 3,200 relay in 10:14.81.

    Notre Dame’s Danika Apple took first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :11.87 and :24.93. Apple was joined by Sydney Whitehouse, Madeline Rose and Julia Nolle in winning the 400 relay in :49.57.

    Ashwaubenon’s Thea Kral won both the shot put and discus with a put of 41-37.5 and a discus throw of 148-3.

    Green Bay Preble 6, Pulaski 1

    PULASKI - The Hornets’ Katie Geydoshek allowed three hits and an unearned run while striking out 11 to lead Preble to the win over the Red Raiders.

    Chloe Savage had three hits and three RBI for Preble. Sam Foytik had two hits.

    Morgan Vertz had two of Pulaski’s three hits.

    Notre Dame 12, Green Bay Southwest 0

    GREEN BAY - Addy Simpson shut down the host Trojans, pitching five innings and allowing five hits and one walk while striking out eight.

    Offensively, Notre Dame was led by Madeline Hilts, who was 3-for-4 with three RBI. Megan Gelb had a double, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Klarissa Peters had an RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base. Simpson added an RBI and a run scored, and Emma Jahner had an RBI and a run scored.

    Dekora VonHaden took the loss for Southwest, pitching six innings, allowing 10 hits, 12 runs (three earned) with two walks and five strikeouts.

    Addison Gusick had two hits for the Trojans.

    Denmark 15, Fox Valley Lutheran 1

    APPLETON - The Vikings scored eight runs in the fifth inning en route to the win over the Foxes.

    During the fifth inning, Shaelyn Kraschnewski and Ashlyn Schultz both drove in two runs, Olivia Ullman drove in one run, as did Macey Mleziva and Abby Johnson.

    In the sixth inning, Ullman doubled in two runs while Vanny Umentum singled in a run and Audrey Baugnet tripled in a run.

    Maggie Frank allowed two hits and one run over five innings to get the win. She struck out and six and walked one for Denmark.

    Menasha 9, West De Pere 1

    DE PERE - The Bluejays pounded out 16 hits and broke open the game with a five-run seventh inning in the win over the Phantoms.

    Isabella Timm had three hits and three runs batted in for Menasha. Eve Rausch, Kelsie Mohr, Taylor Papendorf, Addie Lund and Daviani Felix each had two hits. Hannah Neubert had a double and drove in three runs.

    Sam Shuey pitched the final three innings, allowing one walk and two hits while striking out three to get the win.

    Brooke Shoemaker, Megan Burns and Mallory DeMoulin each had two hits for West De Pere, with Lily Bukoske, DeMoulin and Shoemaker each hitting doubles.

    Bukoske took the loss in the circle.

    Algoma 4-9, Sevastopol 0-6

    ALGOMA - The Pioneers managed just four hits in dropping the first game of the doubleheader to the Wolves.

    In the second game, Sevastopol had 12 hits but also committed six errors in the loss.

    Naomi Rikkola had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs in the second game. Lyvia Duessler, Adison Sawyer and Jolene Luedtke each had two hits in the second game for Sevastopol.

    Addison Schauske took the loss for Sevastopol in the first game, while Libby Ash took the loss in the second game.

    BASEBALL

    Denmark 6, Clintonville 2

    DENMARK - Braedyn Heezen was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI as the Vikings stopped the Truckers in North Eastern Conference action. Jaycob Dittmer was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

    Denmark took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on Heezen’s two-run double. Clintonville cut it to 2-1 in the fifth on Linken Korth’s RBI single, but the Vikings made it 4-1 in the bottom of the inning on RBI singles by Josh Gajeski and David Dittmer.

    Heezen added an RBI single in the sixth.

    Brandon Dvorak pitched 3⅓ innings for the win, giving up zero runs on two hits. Cade Delarwelle pitched 1⅔ innings to earn the save.

    With the win, Denmark moves to 15-4 overall and 13-3 in the NEC. Clintonville falls to 4-15 overall.

    Marinette 15, Wrightstown 14

    MARINETTE - The Marines rallied from 11 runs down to pull out the North Eastern Conference win in the bottom of the seventh.

    Trailing 13-2 after the Tigers struck for six runs in the top of the fifth, Marinette responded with seven in the bottom half. Wrightstown added a run in the sixth to make it 14-9, but the Marines answered with another big inning, scoring five times to send the game to the seventh tied at 14-14.

    Weston Hanson led Marinette, going 3-for-4 with a double and five RBI, while Sam Sommerfeldt, Cooper Smith and Justin Kruse added two hits each.

    Jack Severson led Wrightstown with a homer and four RBI, while Quade Thompson had a pair of hits.

    Freedom 6, Oconto Falls 2

    FREEDOM - Matt Eberhardt pitched five innings of three-hit ball to lead the Irish to the win over the Panthers.

    Eberhardt allowed two runs (one earned) while walking six and striking out five for Freedom. Andrew Shepard pitched the final two innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three.

    Carson Peters had two hits and drove in three runs for Freedom. Carson Clausen had two hits and scored two runs. Gavin Brennenstuhl had two hits and scored two runs.

    Freedom is 12-11 overall and 8-9 in the North Eastern Conference.

    Cole Bozile had two hits for Oconto Falls.

    Easton Engel started and took the loss for Oconto Falls, which is 8-11 overall.

    Crivitz 5, Niagara 2

    CRIVITZ - Logan Marvin was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI as the Wolverines held off the Badgers for the Marinette & Oconto Conference Tournament semifinal win.

    Three Crivitz pitchers combined on a no-hitter, but the Wolverines walked 10 hitters while striking out 13. Jackson Schramm picked up the win on the mound, pitching 4⅔ innings, allowing one run while walking six and striking out nine.

    After Niagara grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Crivitz answered with one in the first, three in the second and one in the fourth.

    The Badgers closed out the scoring with a run in the seventh.

    Bonduel 4, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 0

    BONDUEL - After working out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning, Cade Johnson settled in and gave up just two hits and one walk over the last six innings to get a complete-game shutout over the Chargers.

    Noah Weier jumpstarted the Bears offense with a triple to lead off the second. Brodie Hartmann followed with a two-run home run to left. Bonduel added two more runs in the fourth on a Beckett Hartlaben single with the bases loaded. That was all the Bears needed to get the win.

    Hartlaben and Hartmann each had two RBI.

    Besides throwing a complete game, Nate Waupekenay had two hits for the Chargers.

    Bonduel moves to 17-3 overall and 11-1 in CWC-East play.

    Gibraltar/Washington Island 13, Sevastopol 1

    STURGEON BAY - Aaron Brey drove in four runs on two hits to lead Gibraltar/Washington Island past Sevastopol. Brey singled in the sixth to score two, singled in the fourth to score one and walked in the seventh to score one.

    The Vikings jumped out to the lead in the top of the first after Owen Dannhausen singled, scoring two runs. Liam Lindenberg then singled, scoring two runs. Another run scored on a balk.

    Bennett Isaacson-Krueger earned the win for Gibraltar/Washington Island. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one.

    Chase Haberli took the loss for Sevastopol. He went three innings, surrendering five runs on two hits, striking out four and walking three.

    Gibraltar/Washington Island amassed nine hits in the game. Dannhausen, Brey and Lindenberg each collected two hits, while Kita walked three times.

    GIRLS SOCCER

    Notre Dame 3, Green Bay Southwest 1

    GREEN BAY - Jasmin Martinez scored two goals and Lacey Fabry added another as the visiting Tritons scored twice in the second half to earn the Fox River Classic Conference victory.

    Martinez opened the scoring at the 14-minute mark on an assist from Fabry.

    Five minutes later, the Trojans evened things up when Adycen Engels scored on an assist by Autumn Nolle.

    The second half was all Notre Dame, as Fabry found the net in the 45th minute and Martinez added the clincher in the 57th minute.

    Southwest goalkeeper Gail Wery made 10 saves, while Notre Dame’s Lauren Witczak made four.

    The win moves the Tritons to 11-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the FRCC, while the Trojans fall to 3-7-3 and 2-5.

    Marinette 6, Luxemburg-Casco 1

    LUXEMBURG - Aubrey Frey scored the Spartans’ lone goal in the loss to the Marines.

    Emi Kuhn had an assist on the goal for Luxemburg-Casco.

    Ashley Fameree had 10 saves in goal for the Spartans.

    NEW Lutheran/Providence 8, Valders 0

    VALDERS - Kiley Dhein, Ada Haleen, Shayden Siebert and Leonie Barras each scored two goals for the Blazers in the victory over the Vikings.
