    Early morning Brown County crash leaves two dead, one seriously injured

    NEW FRANKEN — Two people are dead and one is seriously injured following an early morning head-on collision Monday near the intersection of State 54 and St. Killian Road in New Franken, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.

    Sheriff deputies arrived on scene at 5:22 a.m., and found an eastbound car crossed the centerline, colliding with a pick-up truck heading west. The driver of the truck was the occupant who survived with serious injuries, while the occupants in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

    The incident is being investigated by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit. Brown County Highway Department personnel and the New Franken Fire Department also responded to the incident.
