What are your experiences with urgent pet care in northeast Wisconsin? We want to know

Emergency vet visits for pets can be just as stressful as emergency doctor visits for humans. It's hard to know what's wrong with them, and how serious it might be.

Alongside that issue, it's difficult to advocate for the urgency of a pet's vet visit. Are you overreacting? Is this something you, as a customer, expect the vet to clear their schedule for? Do they have openings reserved for emergencies, or are you left hoping someone else cancels?

We want to hear from our readers about their experiences with vets in northeast Wisconsin. Have you been able to get your pet looked at in a timely manner? Has your pet been turned away due to overbooked schedules? Have you had to call multiple vets looking for an opening, or had to drive a significant distance to receive care?

Send your experiences, good or bad, with the animal hospitals in Outagamie and Brown counties to breaking and trending reporter Rashad Alexander at ralexander@gannett.com. Please include when and where the experience took place, what the issue was and how it played out, what was good about the service or what could have been better, and other details that can help us see common factors that play out.

Rashad Alexander can be contacted at ralexander@gannett.com.
