Rocky'Z, a Mexican and bar restaurant, will reopen soon in east Green Bay | Streetwise

GREEN BAY — A Mexican eatery is reopening in a new location.

Rocky'Z , formerly known as Rocky'Z Café will reopen at at 1679 Main St., in east Green Bay. The restaurant was previously located at 2475 University Ave., in what used to be University Courtyard but is now a Club Car Wash. Roger Perez, owner of the restaurant didn't say exactly when the restaurant will open.

The restaurant applied for an extension for a liquor and beer license which was approved by The Green Bay Protection and Policy Committee in early January. At the time, ownership cited issues regarding the installation of a kitchen hood.

Two weeks ago, there were was work being done in the kitchen area. Tables and chairs are already set up inside along with a soda machine.

The menu is extensive and mixed, with breakfast, lunch and dinner options as well as appetizers available. There are Mexican dishes like burritos and chilaquiles, a dish of fried corn tortilla strips or pieces that are simmered in salsa or mole and topped with cheese, but also other foods including steaks, sandwiches, wraps and pasta.

The hours of operation haven't been announced or published on the restaurant's Facebook page .
