Editor's Note: This story has been updated as the closing date was moved and the business is now closed.

DE PERE — An entertainment business for children closed last week.

Kidz Town , at 1109 Honey Court in De Pere, will closed on August 23, according to a Facebook post by owner Toni Vincent. The business had a potential buyer and was expected to remain open, Vincent said in the post, but the sale fell through.

"I want to express my gratitude for the wonderful nine years," Vincent wrote. "My time as owner has been incredibly special to me."

Vincent had said in a previous post the business would stay open until September 1. However, in another post said "due to unforeseen circumstances" that timeline had changed.

The party and play center will remain closed and an asset sale announced on a later date. Details of the sale will be posted the day prior to the event, as everything at Kidz Town will be available for purchase, the post said.
