As a Wisconsin licensed professional counselor, I am encouraging everyone to vote in the Nov. 5 election.

More importantly, I am encouraging everyone to start thinking now about how they will/can accept the results of that election. Regardless of whether or not their preferred candidates win. Please prepare for both possibilities.

    Peter Moran, Green Bay

    Send us your election letters

Timely, well-written letters on the election are welcome. All letters are subject to editing. Some guidelines to keep in mind:

    • Generally, we limit letters to 250 words.
    • Name, street address and daytime phone are required. Only the author's name and city, town or village of residence will be published.
    • We cannot acknowledge receipt of submissions.
    • We don't publish poetry, anonymous or open letters.
    • Election letters should be issue-oriented and not personal attacks on a candidate. We will not publish letters that criticize a candidate without endorsing another candidate(s). We will also not publish letters in poor taste. Accusations against a candidate must be verifiable in order to be published.
    • Letters must be original compositions of the signed author and not part of a letter-writing campaign.
    • We accept letters from individuals, not from a group of individuals.
    • Letters from candidates, their immediate family members, campaign managers or elected officials will not be published. We want to hear from voters not directly involved in campaigns.
    • No letters will be published after Oct. 27.
    • Email letters to forum@greenbaypressgazette.com .
