What would Wisconsinites do in their last moments? The answer may not shock you at all

How do you think Wisconsinites would like to spend their last moments on earth? Witnessing the Packers win another Super Bowl? Spending time with their friends and family in Milwaukee?

How about with a bratwurst in their hand?

A new study from Choice Mutual , an independent insurance agency, surveyed what Americans from each of the 50 states would like to do in their last moments; 3,000 respondents were surveyed based on their age, gender, and geography.

Wisconsinites, apparently, preferred to spend their last breath eating a brat.

Who can blame them? Bratwursts are a staple in Wisconsin culture, alongside items like beer and cheese. Usinger, a well known sausage making company, moved from Germany to Milwaukee in the late 1870s .

Many of the choices of survey respondents reflect what their respective states are known for. Midwest states like Illinois had watching basketball as their last moment, while Minnesota natives wanted to sail in Lake Pepin.

"People envision a wide variety of end-of-life experiences, from peaceful nature escapes to high-energy activities, which reflect personal passions and lifestyles," the study said in its key takeaway section.

Whether eating cheese curds at Lambeau Field should have been considered remains up for debate.

More: What makes a brat a brat, and why are they so popular in Wisconsin?

Absurd. Last moments should be utilized for prayer.
