A former Green Bay Packers player and his wife were taken into custody Wednesday in Indiana after police located his 14-year-old son, who was previously missing for just over two weeks.

Bryson Muir, the son of former NFL defensive tackle, Daniel Muir, was the subject of a silver alert on June 28, after he was reported missing on June 16. The Indiana State Police claim Muir was last seen in Ohio with his mother Kristin, driving after leaving a family member's residence. The vehicle was later stopped by police officers from Garfield Heights, Ohio, but Bryson was not in the vehicle.

Two days after Bryson went missing, Cass County Department of Child services workers contacted Indiana State Police with allegations of child abuse towards Bryson. His grandmother, Cheryl Wright, told Indiana's Fox59 that she reported Bryson had a black eye.

On June 28, Daniel and Kristin agreed to bring Bryson to meet with Indiana State Police investigators at noon that day. However, at around 11 a.m., the Muirs backed out of the arrangement, which signaled an unwillingness to cooperate with the police.

At approximately 6 a.m. Wednesday, search and arrest warrants were executed by members of the Indiana State Police SWAT team at Daniel and Kristin's home in Logansport, Indiana. Bryson was found at the residence, while Daniel and Kristin were taken into custody.

Daniel Muir was charged with one count of obstruction of justice, as well as a count of domestic battery. Kristin Muir was charged with a count of obstruction of justice. Bryson has been released to the care and custody of Cass County Department of Child Services.

Daniel Muir signed with the Packers in 2007 after going undrafted. He played three games and recorded eight tackles. He got waived before the 2008 season before joining the Indianapolis Colts for two years. He would later resign with the Packers in 2012.
