The Green Bay Packers have a lot of talented players along their offensive line. One of them is the versatile Zach Tom.

A fourth-round pick out of Wake Forest in the 2022 NFL Draft, Zach Tom has already exhibited incredible versatility as a pro. He started all 17 games during the 2023 season at right tackle but has experience all over the line.

In just two seasons as a pro, he has already logged snaps at all five positions along the offensive line. Right tackle was where he found a home in 2023, but that could change in 2024.

There have been rumors swirling this offseason that the Packers could kick Zach Tom inside to center. Some analysts believe that he has Pro Bowl potential at tackle, All-Pro potential at guard and Hall of Fame potential at center.

That is something the coaching staff could look to prove true or false this season. The offensive line training camp battle will be one to keep an eye on, as nothing is set in stone when it comes to the lineup.

The Packers are going to play their five best players, as they have cross-trained several of them. Zach Tom will assuredly be in the starting lineup; where, exactly, is anyone’s guess right now.

Despite some uncertainty about where he will play, the talent he possesses is undeniable. That is partly why Felipe Reis Aceti of Packers Talk has named him as one of the potential first-time All-Pros on the Packers heading into 2024.

“Zach Tom was Green Bay’s best offensive lineman last year, per PFF. Among 19 tackles with 650+ pass-blocking snaps, Tom allowed the second-fewest sacks and QB hits and the fifth-lowest QB pressures.

His pass-blocking efficiency was 97.2, the fifth-best grade. Tom’s importance was evident in the playoffs against the 49ers. With Tom, Love went 15 for 22, 168 yards, 2 TDs, and a 120.3 rating in the first six possessions. After Tom’s injury, Love went 6 for 12, 30 yards, 2 INTs, and a 16.7 rating on four possessions.

Zach Tom allowed just nine QB pressures in 125 pass-blocking snaps against T.J. Watt, Aidan Hutchinson, and Cameron Jordan. If he continues to perform at a high level against elite competition, he will finally get recognition as one of the best offensive tackles in football,” wrote Aceti. (H/T Yardbarker)

No matter where Zach Tom lines up along the offensive line, he gets the job done for the Packers. He is extremely talented and another healthy season in 2024 should result in him receiving some accolades recognizing his incredible talent.
