NFL Writers Share Bold Green Bay Packers Prediction for 2024

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the Green Bay Packers heading into the 2024 season. Potentially the youngest team in the NFL for a second straight season, the roster is brimming with untapped potential and talent.

Offensively is where people have the most excitement about the team. Jordan Love was excellent in his first season as a starter, quickly vaulting up the quarterback power rankings.

In the backfield, the team made a bold move. Aaron Jones was released and replaced by Josh Jacobs in free agency. Youth played a part in the decision, as Jacobs is 3+ years younger than Jones.

At wide receiver, the Green Bay Packers have a deep, talented bunch of players. There isn’t a single player on the depth chart with more than two years of experience and a lack of a bonafide No. 1 option.

But, this is a quality group with dynamic and diverse skill sets. Christian Watson is the favorite to emerge as the No. 1 option, but Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed will have something to say about that.

At tight end, the Packers have 2023 draft picks Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft leading the way. If they can both remain healthy, they will be one of the best duos at the position in the NFL.

Experience could be seen as a weakness by some evaluators. But, that isn’t the case when it comes to SB Nation writers Mark Schofield, Joseph Acosta and James Dator.

They recently wrote a piece sharing seven hot takes for the 2024 season. One of them involved the Green Bay Packers, who they have predicted to have the best offense in the NFL in 2024.

“The Packers finished last season in a flourish, throttling Dallas on the road in the playoffs and taking the San Francisco 49ers to the limit in the Bay area. This was largely on the backs of growth out of their young QB Jordan Love and the emergence of a receiver group that is more committee than with one star.

Add in head coach Matt LaFleur designing an incredible offense and you have the perfect mixture for a team that’s ready to tear up the league in 2024.

With Love’s growth continuing as well as the maturation of the young skill position group, the Packers can be the best offense in the NFL in 2024,” they wrote.

Last season, the Green Bay Packers were 12th in points scored and 11th in yardage gained. With a year of experience under his belt, Love should be even better.

Entering Year 5 in Matt LaFleur’s system and second as a starter, things should open up even more in 2024. Given the level of continuity the Green Bay Packers possess, this is a unit that certainly has a chance to be atop the NFL offensively.
