Josh Jacobs Had Eyes on Green Bay Packers Since Playoffs

As one of the biggest signings of the offseason, Josh Jacobs apparently had his eyes on the Green Bay Packers during free agency.

After some very successful seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, running back Josh Jacobs hit free agency this offseason. While the Raiders had some decent teams with Jacobs there, he was only able to appear in one playoff game in five seasons.

After signing a four-year deal with the Packers, Jacobs is hoping to help the Packers get back into the playoffs in 2024 and contend for a Super Bowl. Recently, Jacobs spoke a little about his free agency and his desire to come to Green Bay. Here’s what he had to say.

“I actually watched that game about five times, and I’m not even exaggerating,” Jacobs said about Green Bay’s narrow defeat at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium. “I was telling them when I came in, the game of football really comes down to like three-to-five plays and however those three-to-five plays go, it really determines the game. Being able to see them go deep in the playoffs, it makes my mind wonder when I’m coming in like, ‘OK, I can be the missing piece,’ or, ‘What can I add or bring to help overcome that hurdle?'”

The Green Bay Packers are certainly one of the most well-run franchises in the NFL, as they always seem to have a good team. For the last few decades, they have been led by Hall of Fame talents, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Now, it looks like Jordan Love is following in their footsteps.

While having a great quarterback is important, the front office and coaching staff are also a big deal. Having constant change like Jacobs’s experience with the Raiders isn’t a good thing, as the structure and stability of a franchise is one of the most underrated things in sports.

For Jacobs, he seems to be rejuvenated and excited to get on the field with the Green Bay Packers.
