    Former Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb set to join the SEC Network

    (WFRV) – After spending a 13-season career in the NFL, former Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is reportedly set to become an analyst for the SEC Network.

    According to a release , Cobb is expected to appear on select editions of SEC Now throughout the upcoming college football season and will also join Alyssa Lang as a co-host on Out of Pocket Presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors .

    As a University of Kentucky Hall of Famer, Cobb is said to be incredibly familiar with the traditions and passions of SEC football. Cobb himself says that he is “incredibly excited to be coming home to the SEC with this new role.”

    In his time with Kentucky, Cobb received First Team All-America honors and two All-SEC first-team nods after tallying almost 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns in three seasons with the Wildcats.

    He was drafted by the Packers in the 2011 NFL Draft and played for 10 seasons in Green Bay in which time he recorded over 6,300 yards and 47 touchdowns.

    Cobb also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans before signing with the New York Jets in 2023 where he reunited with former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

    Despite the move to the SEC Network, Cobb’s playing career may not be over just yet. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo , and Cobb himself , he is still open to playing in the NFL should an opportunity arise.
