With training camp underway, the Green Bay Packers have reportedly reached a deal with Kenny Clark to keep him in Green Bay for the next few years.

The Green Bay Packers have reportedly been able to reach an agreement with defensive tackle Kenny Clark on a new three-year, $64 million deal. As one of the best players on the defense, locking up Clark for the next few years is big for the franchise.

Clark is coming off the best season of his career, in which he recorded 7.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, and 16 quarterback hits. Clark was named to his third Pro Bowl in 2023 and will be looking to continue to anchor the Packers’ defense.

Coming from the defensive tackle position, Clark is one of the best at his position in the league in getting after the quarterback.

With the Packers getting a new defensive coordinator this offseason that should be more aggressive, it could result in Clark boosting his stats even more in 2024.

For the Packers, the deal for Clark helps them in the long run, as it’s pretty front-loaded. This will give the front office flexibility in the future, as they will certainly have a lot of young players that they will need to pay soon like quarterback Jordan Love.

With Clark now signing a new deal, all eyes will be on what the Packers do with Love. After coming off an amazing first season as the starting quarterback, Love is going to be primed to cash in on a big payday.

While we will have to wait and see what happens with Love, the deal for Clark appears to be a good one for both sides.

The Packers will hope that this offseason runs smoothly as they could very well contend in the NFC. To reach those goals, however, they will need Clark to lead what they hope will be an improved defense.
