    Things to do in Green Bay this weekend: Sunflower Festival, Blizzard playoffs

    GREEN BAY - Get the family outside for some sunflowers or hay rides this weekend, or support a local playoff game.

    Here are some things going on around the Green Bay area this weekend.

    Beer Baron Cemetery Walk

    Learn all about the history of Green Bay's beer culture with a walking tour with the Brown County Historical Society at 2 p.m. Saturday. Join the Beer Baron Cemetery Walk at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1542 S. Webster Ave., Allouez.

    A $15 tickets gets you a brewery passport for six Green Bay-area breweries. Tickets are available through Eventbrite .

    Blizzard playoffs

    The first playoff game with the Green Bay Blizzard against Quad Cities is Friday night. Tickets are $10-$55 on Ticket Star . The game starts at 7 p.m. at the Resch Center.

    Suamico Firefighters Festival

    The Suamico Firefighters Volunteer Association is hosting the annual Suamico Firefighters Festival on Saturday. There will be live music, fire truck tours, food trucks, and a dunk tank. Proceeds will go to new fire equipment and donations to local families.

    The festival is at 3-9 p.m. at the Suamico Fire Department, 1745 Riverside Drive, Suamico. More information is on Facebook .

    Blaser's Acres Sunflower Festival

    Blaser's Acres' annual Sunflower Festival opens this weekend. There are sunflowers, lookout towers, a bounce house, corn roast, hay rides and barrel rides.

    The festival runs from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Blaser's Acres, 2556 School Lane, Suamico. Entrance fee is $5 per person. More information is at blasersacres.com/sunflower-festival . The festival will also be held Aug. 3 and 4.

    There are weekday walk-through tours from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. July 29-Aug. 2.

    Free ice cream at the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park

    For National Ice Cream Month, the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park is giving out free ice cream while it lasts from Brown County Farm Bureau and Young Farmer and Agriculturist. There will also be agricultural activities for kids with regular zoo admission.

    The event is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. More information is at newzoo.org/event/free-ice-cream-fun-activities .
