“I Still Have A House In Green Bay For Sale” – Aaron Rodgers Congratulates Packers QB Jordan Love On Becoming The Highest-Paid In NFL History

While Aaron Rodgers carries the hopes and dreams of the New York Jets on his shoulders, he hasn't lost sight of where he came from, and still clearly has love for the Green Bay Packers organization. Despite Rodgers' initial saltiness at the Packers' decision to draft Jordan Love back in 2020, it seems the two eventually got along quite well. In fact, as messy as Rodgers' final years were in Green Bay, he seems to be in a great headspace and at peace with his move to the Jets. As long as he can make it through the 2024 season healthy, I feel like it'll be a win-win for the Jets and Packers when they agreed to terms on a trade last offseason to send Rodgers to New York. News broke late on Friday that Love became the new highest-paid quarterback, and Rodgers promptly responded on Saturday with a great quote about how, if Love is looking to invest in some real estate, he could take his own house off the market.
"I want to give a shout out to Jordan Love becoming the highest-paid player in the NFL. J-Love, don't spend it all in one place — but if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that's up for sale!" https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1817255824667935205 Rodgers also gave a shout out to Gang Green Nation, imploring the Jets faithful to stick with the team amid the inevitable ups and downs that arise of the course of a 17-game NFL season. However, the 40-year-old field general anticipates more ups than downs, and frankly, if New York can just get something resembling Rodgers' best, they should be in the thick of the playoff conversation in the stacked AFC. If Rodgers' early training camp form is any indication, he's about to roar back in 2024. You can say that Love's sample size is small, but the Packers are clearly investing in his upside, which is immense. https://twitter.com/SharpFootball/status/1794032526828138715 It was wise of them to get this deal done ASAP, as opposed to waiting, creating drama, and having to pony up even more cash at a later date. The Dallas Cowboys are learning the hard way how rough that can be, as they refuse to extend Dak Prescott, prompting Jerry Jones to give
increasingly confusing public statements . Speaking of the Cowboys, Love eviscerating them on the road in the playoffs has sent America's Team into a relative tailspin/existential crisis. They won't be able to pay Dak, Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb, or so it would appear. Not good news! https://twitter.com/RichTRyan/status/1817008627091382770 If the Bengals can't make it, is it too much for me to ask for a Jets-Packers Super Bowl? Might yield the highest ratings of all-time.
