Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Without a doubt about it, the Green Bay Packers took a gamble heading into the 2023 season.

Not only did they trade four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers with the hope that former first-round pick Jordan Love could finally ascend the throne, but they also rolled out the youngest offense in football by a mile. Second-year wideouts Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson were the "veterans" of the wide receiver group, while rookie wideouts Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks were expected to play big roles.

That's not to mention tight end, where Green Bay rolled out two rookies, Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft, who had their fair share of ups and downs.

The Packers were young, but thanks to Love as well as many of those young players stepping up, they were a surprise playoff team last season.

Heading into 2024, they feel like they can be Super Bowl contenders, and many around the NFL space agree. A trip to the Super Bowl begins in training camp, though, and Love recently explained what he feels is different between last season's training camp and this one.

"Obviously, we're still working through a lot of things as an offense, building that chemistry, understanding where we need to be on plays. But compared to last year, there's a lot less question marks," Love said, via the team website . "Guys understand where they need to be a lot better, and we have a better feel for the offense."

As far as where he is, he's still trying to shake off the rust from this offseason. Remember, Love missed the first few days of training camp while "holding in" for a new contract.

"I'm definitely getting back in that rhythm," Love said. "Training camp, the speed is always so much faster. I feel like everybody's got that energy and they're flying around, especially at the start. I'm just getting back to playing fast and trying to keep myself slowed down in the midst of all it, trying to not get sped up myself with my feet and my reads, which is something I'm trying to focus on right now."

Love got that contract he was hoping for. The Packers rewarded him with a four-year, $220 million contract extension, including $160.3 million guaranteed, heading into last weekend.
