‘I need help:’ New program to help repair homes in Eastside Jacksonville
Jacksonville City Council approved $845,350 in grant funding coming from the U.S. Department of Energy to fund JEA’s Repair & Restore for Resilience program. It will allow the utility to begin weatherization repairs for more than 76 low-income homeowners in the Eastside.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Painting a picture of a family man, involved in his community, attorneys for former JEA CEO Aaron Zahn are asking a judge to not impose a multi-year prison sentence for his federal convictions of conspiracy and wire fraud, which they say has already taken an immense toll on Zahn and his family, with scrutiny and humiliation leading to a diagnosis of PTSD for the former utility head.

Jaguars unveil white helmets, will wear them in Week 10
The Jaguars announced that they will be wearing throwback uniforms for a game this season last week and they unveiled another alternate uniform choice on Thursday. The team revealed “Shell White” helmets that they will wear for their Week 10 game against the Vikings. Head equipment manager George Pellicer said the team looked at a variety of options for an alternate helmet before settling on one that broke with tradition.
